Last time they talked about it, cramming the engine in there meant the crumple zone safety went away.

Wait a sec, they made the big announcement a day before the Bronco. So are you saying that they never got around to getting it squared away?

The crumple zone statement was over a year ago, IIRC. What they “announced” this year wasn’t actually a product announcement, just a teaser, so whether they’ve solved the safety problem or just wanted to grab some attention I don’t know.
